How can I secure good marks in a B.Tech?

Hello,

First and most important never follow one night study to score good marks in exam

Always start studying subjects 10 to 15 days before exams so that you can study topics which you havent read even once and can perform revision & thats more than enough to score really good marks

keep contact with friends who keep good record of notes

make sure you are always aware of what is going on in class lecture no matter whether you attend classes or not

divide your week before exam properly into subjects you should study and must stick to it

Tackle larger projects in manageable increments

Allow ample study time to avoid cramming the night before a big exam

I wont say this is the best way to study as one can find diff approaches to study effectively and get good marks its depends on you
