What course do you want to pursue? For UG courses, you would be required to score well in SAT as well as ACT . Additionally, you will be required to have the minimum score in the English proficiency test  s like the IELTS  or TOEFL .

If you asking about Engineering from abroad then you have to clear TOEFL, IELTS, PTE. These are language test for admission in foreign college. Some top university conduct their separate entrance test. If you clear these these exam then you can get admission there easily. You must have valid passport after that you can get student visa. Many of the top Engineering colleges offer admission through Entrance Exam like JEE Mains, JEE Advance( For Indian Institute of Technology). Many colleges provide admission on the basis of JEE Mains score. Many have its own exam too. In some colleges you may get direct admission with out any exam.
