Hello Aspirant,
The final merit rank list is prepared by the category and rank details that the candidate has given in the registration or application form. So, your rank merit list would be based on the details that you have given and now the list would be prepared on the details of you being an open category candidate. You cannot change it anyway.
You can maybe write an E-mail seeking for help into this matter by taking the email from their official website.
But, you can contact the concerned authorities during the time of councelling process and tell them the actual problem happened with you. They might do something or get a measure done up for you.
