If you want to take admission to Class 11 in the PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) stream in Kendriya Vidyalaya, it depends on your Class 10 board marks and availability of seats in the school you are applying to. Mostly KV schools give first preference to their students who have passed Class 10 from a Kendriya Vidyalaya itself. If seats are available after that, students from other CBSE or state boards can also apply, based on class 10 marks.
For the PCB stream, you must have scored a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in Science and Mathematics in Class 10.But some KV schools may have slightly different criteria depending on the number of applicants and seat availability. The admission process usually starts after the Class 10 results are declared. So You’ll need to collect the admission form from the KV office or download it from their online portal (if available), fill it properly, and submit it along with the required documents that they mentioned. It’s better to contact the school office directly or check the notice board for updates. If you're from a KV background, for admission your chances are higher. But even non-KV students with good marks can get in if seats are left. In some KV schools, they also conduct a screening or interview if applications are more than the seats available.
Thank you and best wishes for your admission process!
