How i want to become an incometax officer can you tell me what qualifications want to become an incometax inspector and enforcement officer.

In order to join the income tax department, the eligibility criteria requires that the aspirant:-
- Finish their graduation from a UGC recognized University.
- The minimum age limit should be 18 while maximum should be 27 for a general category applicant.
- Qualify in the examination held by staff selection commission (SSC)
The examination is divided into two tiers:- tier 1 and tier 2.
Tier 1 includes 4 subjects of 50 marks each viz.
- General awareness
- Numerical aptitude
- English comprehension
- General intelligence+reasoning
Tier 2 includes 2 subjects of 200 marks each viz.
- Arithmetical abilities
- English language and comprehension
After clearing the two tiers, an interview is held which tests the personality of the candidates. After the interview, a data entry test is held to judge the typing abilities of candidates.
After getting recruited by the IT department as an income tax inspector or tax assistant, candidates may take the departmental examinations to rise to the post of an Income tax officer

For a person to be an income tax officer or income tax inspector in India , you must fulfill following criteria
You must be of age between 17 years - 21 years .
You will have to appear for the SSC CGL ENTRANCE EXAM.
YOU must have completed Graduation degree in any discipline with minimum 50%.
To become an income tax officer you have first enter the IT department as income tax inspector assistant. Then they qualify you after entrance exam. Then after qualifying you can earn promotion as Income tax officer.
