How is counselling and sliding etc are done in sastra?
sastra has two types of counselling one is stream 1 and another is stream 2 in stream 1 they considred board and jee main [70 %]and stream 2 boards [30%] based on the marks they will give separate rank for stream 1 and stream 2

given below is the counselling process at Sastra University,
the admission officials at Sastra University has releases a rank list, and the counselling process will be conducted based on this list. The list consists of names of the candidates as per the All India Rank as well. Further the candidates who have completed their 10+2 equivalent from schools situated in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry will be allotted Tamil Nadu (TN) Rank. The allotment of seat will be based upon both the AIR as well as the TN rank. The rank list is generally prepared for two streams.
Stream - 1 :-
- The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of marks scored by them in JEE Main 2020 and in their 10+2th (or equivalent) examination for 70% of the total seats.
- JEE Mains score is given 75% weightage whereas the 10+2 scores are given 25% weightage.
- Combining the scores, the students will be given a fixed rank
Stream - 2 :-
The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their normalized 10+2 or equivalent marks, which is done for the remaining 30% of the seats.
Counselling process will be done on the basis of rank secured by candidates on the Sastra University rank list.
Documents required for the counselling process :-\
- 10+2 or their equivalent marks sheet
- Score card of JEE Main (if applicable)
- Demand Draft in favor of SASTRA University, payable at Thanjavur
- Recent passport size photograph
- Transfer certificate
- Migration certificate (if applicable)
