• The college organizes a talent hunt every year where various events are conducted which include theatre, group and solo singing, dance, literary events and fine arts events.
• DAVIET’s students take an active part in PTU festival and it has been the winner of the Zonal and Inter-Zonal PTU Youth Festival for consecutive five years.

The training and placement cell in college is one the departments that is most hardworking thriving towards their goal to provide students with good opportunities and converting them into skillful individuals ready to work towards gaining a
Better future.
Placement percentage is quite good in CSE branch. Highest package of this college is 20.5 lacs given to a CSE student by Adobe in 2016. There are almost 83 companies which visit our campus every year. But half of the companies are to recruit MBA students as our college also provide MBA courses. The placement percentage is not upto the mark in mechanical branch.

• Faculty

The college faculty is really great. All the departments have been working towards creating highly skilled and career oriented individuals through progressive training and by maintaining the balance between academics and extra curricular activities.

I seriously say go for other college.

DAVIET has both sides positive and negative..

Highly not recommended especially for CSE

First ,

• You are gonna get a lots of useless assignment
• Get ready and tighten your seat belt because your seating timings are gonna increase..if 1st year in b.tech then 9am to 5 pm,not only this but later there is a bit relief.
• There are some teachers whom you can't ask anything either they say not required for the syllabus ,no need to do this or leave it..BUT BELIEVE ME SUCH TEACHERS ARE LESS IN NUMBER HERE AND MANY NEVER HELP
• Lack of opportunities: everything but may not be allowed to go everywhere due to various reasons and I feel those reasons were never genuine to the opportunities I got.
• They want you to keep Cramping and learn the college stuff, no major focus on practicals and later at the time of placements, they want good results… huh!!

These were something… .

Now the other side..

lemme tell you something positive about it.

• This college has one of the best TRAINING AND PLACEMENT CELL of JALANDHAR ,which tries to bring good placements drives in college and keeps you update about every opportunity.
• There are some teachers who will make you love a subject though their are others too who aren't themselves interested.
• Your idea to launch anything is initiated and if interested ,college helps to develop it too.
• It is better than many NITs and teachers focus on studies a lot.
• If we see the facts, we get that it is the best college of PTU
• PhD teachers or some pursuing them.
• Disciplined college, really makes you a proper and a good engineer but your effort is also required.
• It works on engineer's soft skills,punctuality,dress up etc..etc..to make you fit for a job.
