Hello,
Recently WBUT is renamed as MAKAUT.But if you see Makaut as an engineering college then it will be difficult to suggest you these type of colleges.
These colleges are not that reputed so they don't have good placements, but students here are busy in exams like Gate,IES..etc for further studies.
Please join any other college if available.
Hope it helps!
I am giving this type of answer for your benefit only.

Hello aspirant,
Pros:
- Situated in the heart of city at Salt Lake, Kolkata.
- A Government college but also admits non domiciled students from other state.
- Main affilating university to practically all the other colleges of West Bengal. Pretty much sums up the reputation.
- Good Campus Placement facilities. Oracle, Huwaei and many other companies had visited the campus and given more than average pay packages to the students.
- Prominent Student: Faculty Ratio.
- One of the Cheap and Best colleges to get admit in West Bengal.
- Seniors are very helpful and a traditional senior junior relationship is established that makes the place very friendly and positive.
- That also clearly means no ragging.
- Cheap Canteen and Good but small Library.
Cons:
- Very Few seats are there.
- Only CSE and IT branch is available.
- Small College Campus but soon to be shifted in a larger one.
- Main university office runs with college that somewhat makes the environment tacy.
Overall if you want to get a CSE or IT, put this college on very top of the list yeah even before IEM.
