How is pec Chandigarh for ece branch? ? Is it going to become nit or iit soon??

Hello Aspirant, Initially PEC was under the Punjab government as it's name is Punjab engineering college. But now it takes the student on the basis of Gate exam. Now it takes competition with the IIT and NIT. But it is not going to change in any IIT.
