Hello,
Please mention the name of exam your asking about. Also if your asking for competitive exam than you have to firstly go for coaching and then have to do self study. There is no specific time in which one can prepare themselfs. Its all depend from person to person, but you have to work hard for every exam and have to clear alk concepts befor practising them.
