how many attemts we have? i have passed class 12

JEE Mains provides 6 attempts for an individual starting the 12th appearing year. So first 2 attempts a candidate gets when he/she is appearing in 12th. The next 4 attempts are given in consecutive two years with 2 attempts per year.

While for JEE Advanced one gets 2 attempts starting the 12th appearing year.

National Testing Agency, the conducting body of JEE Main 2020 underwent several changes in the past year in respect to eligibility, creating a cloud of confusion related to JEE Main 2020 number of attempts. NTA is conducting the exam twice a year, and with that change, students come under doubts about JEE Main 2020 number of attempts. NTA has clarified that students can appear in JEE Main twice a year in three consecutive years from the year of passing their class 12 exam. This makes JEE Main number of attempts to six in a span of three years.
