Seven countries make up the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC). Members include India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. In BIMSTEC countries, one-fourth of the world's population resides.
