How many cutoff you expect to enter into your college for B.E. CSE course in both rounds
To determine the expected cutoff for a B.E. CSE course, you'll need to consider the type of college (IIT, NIT, IIIT, etc.) and the specific round of admissions (e.g., JEE Advanced). Cutoffs vary significantly based on these factors.
1. IITs:
For top IITs like IIT Kharagpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Hyderabad, the expected closing ranks for B.Tech CSE can range from 400-430 to 650-700 for the general category.
For SC category, the expected closing ranks can be around 130-145 to 180-190.
To get into IIT CSE, candidates should aim for a score of 280-300+ in JEE Advanced.
2. NITs:
For top-tier NITs, the cutoff ranks for CSE can be in the range of 3,000 to 6,000.
For mid-tier and lower-tier NITs, the cutoff ranks can range from 5,000 to 25,000.
3. IIITs:
For top IIITs like Kota and Guwahati, the cutoff ranks can range from 1,000 to 10,000.
For private universities, check their respective cutoffs in their websites.
I expect the cutoff for B.E. CSE in my college to be around 92-95 percentile in the first round and slightly lower, around 88-91 percentile in the second round. This is based on last year's trends and the increasing competition in the CSE branch.
