How many marks difference will be for ews category in bams or bhms in comparison to general category.

EWS offers NO AGE relaxation.

EWS category cutoff will always be less than General.

General category is not reserved for general candidates, its open merit anyone from any category can get a seat here.

I'll give you an example which will validate my point.

UPSC CIVIL SERVICES.

General category cutoff for 2018 prelims was 98.00.

If we assume same for 2019 prelim, EWS seats will be filled only and only after general 40% seats are filled.

if General cutoff is 100. EWS 10% seats will be filled only after 100,ie..it can be 99 or 98 or 0 but never greater than 100.

The situation when ths cutoff of a reserved category will be higher than general is if There is AGE RELAXATION.

If EWS has been given say 3 years of age relaxation and magically there are enough number(10%) of candidates who are utilising the age relaxation and have scored 101.

General category cutoff - 100

EWS cutoff - 101

we've seen Such a scenario in UPPSC Group exams.but as long as the age relaxation is not given the general cutoffs will be always greater than EWS.

No age relaxation - General >>>EWS.

Age relaxation - Reverse is possible.
