Hey Lavanya, ranks on particular marks vary every year a lot and this variation largely depends on cutoff and no. of students participating in the exam. Also, cutoff depends on the level of paper and the highest marks obtained.
If last years rank variation is referred then a lot of students who scored about 200 marks got ranks under 1000 but last to last year ranks were around 5000 for these much marks and in 2015 ranks were even higher that is around 10000. So, nothing can be predicted clearly, but you must not worry as if rank vs marks ratio varies then cutoff for colleges also varies thus you will get the college based on your performance.
