A candidate can not get IITs through JEE Main. The pathway to IIT is to clear JEE Advanced with desired score. However in order to sit in JEE Advanced, a candidate needs to qualify JEE Main.
So first you have to qualify JEE Main and then attempt JEE Advanced examination. Clearing JEE Advanced with desired score will land a candidate in IITs.
