Number of candidate registered in January -2019 Examination 9,29,198
Number of candidate appeared in January -2019 Examination 8,74,469

Number of candidate appeared in April -2019 Examination 8,81,096
The only real competition is yourself.

Hello,
Every year around 11 lakhs students register for Jee mains exam and appear for it.
Once the results for Jee mains are out. The top 2-2.5 lakhs students who qualify the cutoff are allowed to appear for the Jee advanced exam.
