how many private medical college will open 2026-27 in mp,up,and bihar

There is no exact final number yet for how many new private medical colleges will open in 2026–27 in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar because approvals depend on the National Medical Commission. But several proposals and new colleges are currently under process.

Current situation:

• Uttar Pradesh is seeing the biggest expansion, with multiple new private colleges already approved recently and more applications submitted for 2026–27. UP already has around 36–37 private medical colleges and may add a few more this session.

• Madhya Pradesh is also expanding medical education through both private and PPP-model colleges. A few new colleges/seats are expected for 2026–27.

• Bihar has comparatively fewer private medical colleges, but proposals for expansion are ongoing under NMC approval processes.

Exact confirmed numbers usually become clear only after NMC issues final permissions before counselling starts.
