How many general students qualified NTSE stage 1 in 2018 (last year)?and how many general students finally got scholarships in stage 2?

Hello Aysha,

The number of students qualifying varies from state to state or the quota as kept by the states. Some states might have 20 students or some might have 300 students. It depends on the number of scholarship allotted to a particular state. But finally, in stage 2 NCERT will award 2000 scholarships from this year which was only 1000 till last year. The process is qualification is on the basis of performance in stage 1 of ntse exam.And the no of students is not fixed it may vary according to total performance of students .All the students who secure 80% marks or above in the state level exam will be qualified to next stage .All the students who score minimum marks required at stage 2 will be eligible for the scholarship program .Hope this information is helpful.Good luck !
