Total candidates qualified for appearing jee Advanced 2018 are 2.31 lakh.
Out of which only 11000 seats are allocated for all IITs.
Hence, there is stiff competition ahead with almost 5% conversion rate.
Also there are 800 additional supernumerary seats for women candidates.
The move is aimed to increase women participation in technical courses by Minsistry of Hunan resources.
