How many Total mark in nest 2018 exam and total number of questions?

National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is a national level exam and it is conducted for admission to the integrated M.Sc programmes offered by at National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai- Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS) Mumbai.
NEST 2019 exam will be conducted in online (Computer based) mode.
Exam pattern
The NEST question paper consist of five sections and Multiple Choice (objective type) questions will be asked in the exam.
- Section 1 would be General section consisting of 30 marks and there will be no negative marking in this section.
- Section 2- 5 would consist of subjects specific questions. Questions will be asked from the following subjects Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Section 2-5 will be of 50 marks each.
Candidates have to choice to attempt all the sections. However, merit list will be prepared on the basis of scores of the best 3 subjects (in addition to the general section).
It should also be noted that in the subject sections, some questions may have one or more correct answers and candidates will have to mark all the correct answers.
