how much candidate qualified Civil Services 2016 in B.Tech stream?

Though it is slightly difficult for me to provide you the exact number of engineers who had qualified for the Civil Services 2016 exam. However, according to media reports, in response to the question asked by Subramanian Swamy during the question hour in Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for personnel, public grievances and pensions Jitendra Singh had stated that approximately fifty per cent of the candidates who cleared the UPSC were engineering graduates. In 2016, among the top 20 toppers, 19 were engineers and one of the candidate was a doctor.
