How much I have to score for government college category -general
Hi Girish,
I am assuming you are asking for All India Quota (AIQ) admissions since you have not specified any state per se.
It is difficult to predict anything accurately for 2018 since the cutoff marks of admissions changes every year with difficulty level of question paper, number of aspirants, etc. However, I will tell you previous year data which might help you in decoding as to how much marks you may need to get into a government medical college.
In 2017, the lowest score which got admission in All India Quota from general category, scored 563 marks out of 720. The lowest score of 563 got admitted to following medical colleges in AIQ admissions.
Tripura: Agartala Government Medical College
Manipur: Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal, Jawaharlal Institute of Medical Sciences,
Assam: Imphal, Tezpur, Jorhat and Silchar Medical College, Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College, Barpeta, Assam
Andaman and Nicobar: Andaman & Nicobar Institute of Medical Science, Port Blair
Odisha: Pt. Raghunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital, Baripada, Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College & Hospital, Koraput
As per previous year statistics, I would suggest you to aim 600+ in order to reserve your spot in a government medical college under general category.
Hope it helps.
All the best!
