Dear Athun, cut off trend changes every year as they depends on many factors like total number of students appeared in the exam, highest score, lowest score etc. Since the new exam pattern has taken over the older one there are chances for the cut offs to increase further(this is my personal opinion as I had also given JEE).
Coming back to your question, if you want reputed colleges based on JEE MAINS then your rank should be under 10K at any cost for top branches-CS and IT. Cut offs of colleges like IIIT Hyderabad, NIT Warangal, NIT Trichy lies less than 2K.
For NIT Calicut, last year the cut off for CS were -
