There is a large variation for different NITs and NITs have various departments so it again depends on the Department in which would you like to take admission. Also, It depends on the Home state or Other states. You can consider up to 4000 in OBC a decent rank to get into good IIT with the decent branch.
Target around 180 Marks to get into Good NITs.

You have to score above 250+( safe mark) to get place into safe nit's .high marks make you choose preferred department as you like.
