How much marks would be enoughfor SC categoryto qualifyfor JEE Advanced?
Hello
The students who qualify in JEE Mains will be eligible to write JEE Advanced. Only 2,24,000 students will be selected for JEE advanced including all categories.
For a SC category student last year cut off marks was 63 to qualify for JEE advanced. So try to secure more than 70 to be on the safer side. If you see the rank, your rank must be less than 2,50,000 All India Rank to qualify.
Since from this year NTA is conducting JEE mains, they give percentile instead of ranks. So the corresponding percentile for a SC category student to qualify for JEE advanced would be somewhere between 85 to 90 percentile.
Instead of just thinking about clearing the cut-off you must study hard and try to secure more and more marks because one cannot predict the exact cut off. Study hard and give your best. Success is yours.
All the best.
In 2018 the 29 marks are required for SC category candidate to qualify the Jee mains and eligible for Jee advanced. The year also the cutoff will be nearly same or 5 marks less or more than 29.
Hope you get it.
