How much of an increase can one expect in Manipal counselling last round for EIE? Last year it increased by 13k just in the last round, can something like that happen this year as well?

Dear student,
The increment or decrement of cutoffs for any exam or college depends on the following factors :-
Now as you are saying that in last round there was a drastical increase in cutoff of nearly 13000. So that maybe happened because of vacany if seats. It may be happned that the seats remained vacant for quite a large portion in institutes.
But this doesn't means that every year or this year, the rate of increment of cutoff will remain same.
It may be possible that it can increase in least round but not as much as 13000.
So there is no sure saying about the cutoff increment. Also note that if till last round there are large number of seats remain vacant then this year too the cutoffs can increase at a higher rate. But still no assumption can be made because the cutoffs for every year depends on the above mentioned factors.
The increment or decrement of cutoffs for any exam or college depends on the following factors :-
- Number of candidates appeared in that particular examination.
- Number of seats available in participating institutes.
- Previous years cutoff trends.
- And the difficulty level of examination.
