The basic eligibility criteria for appearing in JEE mains is that a candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board with a minimum 50% aggregate marks.
But,
For admission in NITs/ IIITs/ GFTIs a candidates should have obtained a minimum of 75% marks in class 12 or equivalent exam or they must be in the top 20 percentile in their class 12 examination. For SC/ ST, the eligibility is to obtain a minimum of 65% marks in class 12 or equivalent.

There's no percentage barrier for jee mains i.e there's no minimum percentage requirement in class XII examination so you don't need to worry about it at all.
For example to be eligible for jee mains 2020 you need to have passed your 12th in 2018 or in 2019 or should be appearing for it with Physics, Mathematics and any one of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject.
But yes If you want to get into iits or nits or GFTIs then if you belong to General or OBC category then you must secure a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in their Class XII boardexamination while SC, ST, and PwD candidates should secure 65% in the exam.
