There are some reservation categories in every college. In Harcourt Butler Technical University Kanpur there is state reservation quota for freedom fighters' wards of UP which is just 2%.
Based on previous years' data, cut-offs for different categories are mentioned below :-
- Unreserved Category (General) - 25,000-30, 000
- OBC - upto 35,000
- SC/ST - 40,000
According to the above data you should try to score more than 95 percentile if you want to go for top branches in HBTU Kanpur. Note that cut-offs depend on branch also and these are bound to change every year depending on many factors like availability of seats, number of candidates appeared in exam and so on. Keep in mind that this is horizontal reservation which you get at state level counselling not at college level.
