Hi

There is no hard and fast rule, the more you score the better, it depends on the NIT. A general category candidate requires 95+ percentile to secure a seat in NIT, for reserved category candidates obviously there are some relaxation, 80+ percentile score is good enough to land you on the roof of a NIT. But i suggest you study hard and try to get 95+ percentile score to get a good branch in top NITs.

97.8 to 98.6 will fetch you NITS like shrinagar, sikim,Mizoram and other lower NITs

98.6- 99.4 will get you KURUKSHETRA, bhopal,delhi

99.4 + percentile marks will fetch you top NITs like trichy,warrangal,suruthkal and also give you good branch.

As you know how high the competition can get therefore don't rely on the minimum percentile requirements and try to bring marks as high as possible
