How pursuing post degree is beneficial in private sector and in attempting government exams?

You haven't mentioned anything about your educational qualifications, or in which field you want to do postgraduate, anyway if you're are in IT or management field, then definitely higher education like MCA,MBA can increase your career prospects for the better. When it comes to government jobs, majority of exams such as UPSC, State PSCs, SSC CGL/CPO, Banking or Insurance Exams merely need graduation in any discipline from a recognized university, there's no specific aggregate required in this case except for RBI Assistant/NABARD Grade B Officer where 50% aggregate is compulsory, in case of RBI Grade B Officer, 60% aggregate is required in 10th, 12th and graduation level.
