How should I manage time so that I will crack both IIT and board with good marks.More than 90 percent in board exam and good ranker in IIT??
Rohil you will need to plan carefully for your whole year preparation. As your school session after summer vacations will be starting at the end of June month so currently you have plenty of time to catch up with the pace of JEE Advanced exam preparations. You already must have an idea that board exam syllabus is much easier than JEE Advanced syllabus and with a strong preparation for JEE Advanced exam can easily help you in getting good marks in board exams.
So, below I am mentioning the few points which helped me in getting admission in IIT Roorkee along with a very good percentage in 12th board examination:
- From the month of April to the month of December focus mostly on your preparation of JEE Advanced examination. Only give time for school preparation a few days before tests, examination and practicals. As your school will get over in the month of December so you will get enough time to practice full long answers in the next 2-3 months
- Now for JEE Advanced preparation (apart from coaching time; assuming you are also taking coaching) make sure you revise whatever that had been taught to you when you are travelling either to school or coaching from home and vice-versa.
- Plus make sure you complete the homework given by coachings every day and if they are no giving then you yourself need to solve some of the questions of the topic that has been taught to you that day after the coaching in the night. You need to devote atleast 3 hours (1 hour for each subject) every day because learning theory will never help you get good marks. Questions are always tricky and solving them helps you in building your concepts
- If you are doing self-preparation then also you need to do the same thing, make a time-table prepare a topic of each subject every day via different books or videos and then practice questions on the basis of those topics
- Along with this, you need to give lots of online mock test. If you are a part of any coaching then you can definitely get a chance to sit for tests regularly but if you are not attending coaching then also I still recommend you to either purchase a test series or solve online free test atleast twice a month. You can do it on alternate Sunday and can keep the other Sundays to revise whatever you have learnt through the whole week. This will keep you in touch with the previous topics of 12th and 11th class both.
- For catching up with the school you can do some of the assignments, practical copy things within school only during the free time and can give a rest to JEE Advanced preparation before 3-4 days of examinations. If you are doing a good preparation for JEE Advanced then you will not find it very difficult to score good marks in schools exams
- After Your school gets over then you can split up your daytime in the ratio of 60-40 like from morning 9 o clock to-night 01 o clock if you are giving 12 hours to study properly then you can do JEE Advanced preparation for 7 hours and 5 hours for board examination
Rohil in the end what matters is your dedication towards the studies, determination to get good marks in both exams and the qualitative studies within the time assigned. If you keep your spirits high in these 3 aspects then no-one can stop you to get your dreams fulfilled.
Feel free to ask if you have any more queries. All the best!!
Daily 6hours should be devoted for JEE advanced,
3hours for Class 12th.
Weekly mocjs should be given and you must give 10mock exams for JEE advanced.
Class 12th curriculum shoukd be revised on weekends.
Giving 2 mocks a day increases pace and helps you grasp fundamental more better and helps you eliminate all weak areas in quickly.
