The random number is a unique number that is assigned to each student.It is generally used when two or more candidates obtain the same rank and when the inter se merit cannot be resolved even after using criterias like marks in subjects,Date Of Birth etc.It is based on a unique number generating algorithm.It is a 10 digit number and it is randomly alloted by the computer to each of the applied candidates.
