The TNDALU Was inaugurated by Thiru K.R. Narayanan, President of India on September 20th, 1997 which at present offers various degree courses in field of law through seven affiliated colleges.
The university offers undergraduate, integrated, post-graduation and Ph.D level law courses. For Ph.D, both full time as well as part time course are available. Additionally, the University also offers distance education programmes in PG Diploma, Master of Corporate Laws (M.C.L.) and certificate course in documentation.
This university also imparts education through distance learning
The university offers a three years undergraduate in LL.B. (Hons.) with a total number of 120 seats. The university also runs a five year integrated course in LL.B. (Hons.). with BA, BBA, BCA and B.Com which has 548 seats in total. Candidates for all the UG courses will be selected based on their marks in the qualifying examination. Application process starts generally in the month of June every year.
For admission in undergraduate course, the minimum marks required in the qualifying exam is 55% for SC/ ST/ NRI candidates and 60% for general candidates. For admission in integrated courses, the minimum marks in the qualifying exam required is 60% for SC/ ST candidates and 70% for general candidates.
