JEE Mains has 2 papers. Paper 2 is for B.Arch. For this you need to complete your 12th in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Now Chemistry is not a mandatory subject. You can take up even a vocational subject. JEE Mains is the entrance examination for admission to State Govt run Engineering Colleges, Private Engineering Colleges, NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs. JEE Advanced is the entrance examination for admission to IITs. Every year NTA conducts JEE Mains twice every year, once in January and again in April. For this year, the registrations have been closed and the exam is scheduled for July 18th to 23rd. You have to wait until next year.
