There are various paths to become a CM of any Particular State in India.

1. Contesting election with any renowned party and if all the winning(Majority) MLA's could give support to you then you can become a CM.

2. You can contest an Election as an Independent candidate and then try out your political skills and Diplomatic skills to lure the next majority government for coalition govt.

Hello dear
For becoming a Chief Minister a person should be

Indian citizen
Should be a member of state legislature otherwise you need to take sign from governor
Of 25 years of age or more
Then the chief minister is elected from the majority of state legislative assembly.
