There are two routes you can choose to be a pilot. One, Civil Aviation ( Non Military Aviation or Commercial Pilot ) and Second, Indian Air Force.
For Second route, i.e., to be a pilot in Indian Air Force, the procedure is given below:
Candidates should appear for National Defence Academy (NDA) exam after completing 12th with a minimum aggregate of 50%. The NDA examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The candidates who qualify the examination will have to undergo a three years training at NDA followed by flying training at Air Force Training establishments. After completion of the training, candidates will be commissioned as ‘Permanent Commission Officers’ or can be posted as Pilots at any IAF Station.
To be a Commercial Pilot, the candidates need to complete the Bachelor's degree in Aviation course after 12th. As per your requirement, some best colleges in Tamil Nadu for Aviation course are:
