How to become a professor in AIIMS?

The profession you are asking for is really good and reputed.

But its a long time taking process, as you havr to complete many degrees till phd to get there and also you have to best experience doctor itself to reach that possition.

First be a lecturer than with experience you can be an assistant professor than a full time professor.

1. Must hold a post-graduate degree in your specialisation after MBBS.
2. Must have three years teaching experience in your department in a recognised medical college as resident/ Registrar/Demonstrator or a Tutor.
3. You need to have phd and clear your net even if required. The more degree and expernc you can show, the more chances are there for you.

To become a Professor in any Course at AIIMS, you should have atleast a Post Graduation degree in the desired subject. You should also have atleast 14 years of teaching or research experience in the subject of speciality after obtaining qualifying degree. For example if you want to become an Anatomy Professor, for a Medical Graduate it is a Post Graduation degree in Anatomy and 14 years of teaching and research experience. For Non Medical Graduates it is a Doctoral Degree and 14 years of teaching and research experience.

India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has released an official notification inviting all the eligible, interested candidates to apply for various professors post at AIIMS on regular basis.

Eligibility criteria:

Educational qualification:

Lecturer (Nursing): All the candidates need to have a Masters Degree in Nursing from a recognised university and should be registered nurse midwife.

The candidate should a total of five years experience with minimum 2 years of experience in Nursing.

Assistant Professor: The candidate interested in applying for various post must possess a Masters/Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD)/ post graduate degree in relevant disciplines from  a recognised university/institute.

Age limit:

All the candidates should not exceed the upper age limit of 50 years. However, the candidates from reserved category will be entitled for age relaxation as per government norms.

Selection procedure:

The selection of candidates will be done on the basis of an interview conducted by the organisation.

Application fee:

All the candidates from general/OBC need to pay Rs 500 as application fee. The SC/ST/PWD candidates need to pay Rs 100 for each application process.
