To be a successful astrologer you should do a professional course in astrology. You should have a good understanding of human psychology and have an analytical approach. These are the two most importants attributes needed for this profession. An interest in Sanskrit and scriptures for practising Hindu astrology will be an added advantage.
You have not metioned about your basic qualification. Assuming that you have completed your bachelors, I would like to apprise you that, there are number of institutes that conduct post graduation programs in astrology. The duration of the Masters degree program is of two years available in both full time and distance education mode.
