How to become freelancer writer ?
Dear Khan,
The first thing that you should do is to decide the medium, that is, do you want to write in English or your mother tongue? Decide that first. Now there are various genres of writing like short stories, novels, novella, poetry, drama, non-fiction etc. Decide on that too. Now, when you say that you want to become a writer, it obviously means that you want others to read what you write. In that case, do you read what others write?
So, the first thing is, once you decide your genre of expressing ideas, try to read as much as possible on that domain. Now comes the publishing part. Usually, publishing houses publish only that content which is written by writers of repute or writings that match their publishing interests.
How do you go about that? The easiest and the most popular thing is to start a blog. Once you put enough content on your blog, you can use it as your visiting card. I mean you can send links or invite people to read what you have written. One you establish yourself as a blogger of repute, it becomes easy to persuade publishing houses to accept your writings.
You can also take up courses in creative writing from IGNOU or the British Council to gain more confidence as a writer because such courses give you insights into the qualities and hard work needed to become a good writer.
Hope this answers your query to a certain extent. Best of luck!
