MBA or Master of Business Administration is a two-year full-time degree programme that deals with various general management and business practices based on real-world issues.
You cannot pursue this course right after the 12th standard because the basic eligibility is that you must have completed your bachelor’s degree or be in the final year of your bachelor’s degree from any stream constituting a minimum duration of three years. and Candidates must have scored at least 50 percent aggregate throughout their bachelor’s degree. (60 percent in case of IIMs).
Mostly MBA admission is based on the entrance basis. Candidates have to pass the test in order to get shortlisted for further rounds. There are two types of entrance tests.
- National Entrance Test- Many entrance exams are conducted at the National level for MBA admission. Some of the top national-level MBA entrance exams are CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA, CMAT, IIFT.
- University Entrance Test- Some of the reputed MBA colleges conduct various tests at the university level for the admission of their students. Such University level tests are NMAT/NMIMS, CUSAT, SNAP, IPU CET, and more.

Masters in Business Management is a post graduate level course which needs bachelors in any field as a mandatory pre requisite. So you cannot do MBA directly after 12th and would need to pursue a graduation in any of your favourite fields. Once you have completed your graduation you can appear for the various entrance examination such as CAT, GMAT, NMAT etc to find a seat in best management colleges in India.
Also there are some integrated management programs offered directly after 12th for which you need to to write entrance examinations.

The eligibility criteria for MBA After 12th is as follows:
- You need to have minimum of 60% in your 10th and 12th standards.
- There should not be a gap of more than 3 years after your 12th.
- Pass the entrance examination.
- Note that for SC/ST there might be some relaxations.
- IIM’s conduct IPMAT but, different universities offering the program conduct different entrance examinations.

To pursue an MBA, one has to write an Entrance Exam. Especially to get a seat in IIMs and some top b-Schools which can give high boosting points to your career. Having a good 10th /12th score is very important to get yourself admitted into a good B-School to pursue your MBA. Many government and private colleges are inviting applications for admission on merit as well as entrance exam score basis.
Candidates must have cleared a Bachelor's degree in any related field to get MBA admission in India But you can't pursue MBA after 12th as it's a master's degree and before master's one needs to have a bachelor's degree. You can pursue bachelor's from absolutely any field like: BBA , Btech, BA etc. and then you can go for a MBA. MBA Admission 2022 is done on the basis of an entrance exam in top universities. Candidates must sit for a national, state, or university level entrance exam.
