how to fill options through JoSA coucelling for NITs. kindly give top NIT college and branch preference . and also please explain flot and freez mode with respect to seat allotment /in aparticular college

Freeze : When you choose this option, it means you have accepted the seat allotted to you.This means that you are satisfied with the seat you get and you do not want to process further.

Float : When you choose this option, this means that you are accepting the seat offered to you. However , if a seat is available in an academic program of higher or primary preference, you will accept it. This would signify that you are available to participate in subsequent rounds of counselling.

Slide : When you accept this option, it means that you are accepting the seat allocated to you. However, if admission to an academic program of higher or primary preference is available within the 'same institute', you will accept it. It means you will also be considered for subsequent rounds of counselling.
