Temperature is a measure only of the degree of heat. As such it is a magnitude that when multiplied with Boltzmann's constant k_B, has the dimension of heat energy, [K_B T]= [ [Mass] [Length/Time]^2, where k_B=1.38… x10^(-23) Joule/K, and T is in degree Kelvin or, K.
