The institute you are referring to is known as IIMC (Indian Institute of Mass Communication) and not Indian Institute of Mass Media. IIMC does not consider boards score as it offers courses to students who have completed their graduation. It offers a PG Diploma and the duration of the PGD is one year.

First, you need to qualify the written entrance test, after which you will be called for an interview at IIMC.
