Hello,

For admission in IIT Chennai or any other IIT in India, onebneeds to be within the cutoffs ranks of various branches of that IIT. Admission in IITs is done on the basis of JEE Advanced ranks. In order to be eligible to give JEE Advanced, one needs to qualify JEE Mains. Also, one needs to have an aggregate of at least 75 percentage in CBSE Boards for General and OBC candidates whereas for SC/ST candidates, the required CBSE boards percentage is 65 percentage. For the students who are not from CBSE Boards, they need to be in top 20 percentile of their respective boards.
