To get admission in maharashtra colleges
The application form of MHT CET 2018 is now available in online mode for all interested candidates. Registrations for MHT CET 2018 will be open till March 25. All candidates will have to fill and submit the application form before the final date otherwise they will not be allowed to participate in the examination. DTE Maharashtra will conduct MHT CET 2018 on May 10. The entrance test of MHT CET will be held for 2 papers – Paper I for Mathematics (1.30 hours) and Paper II (1.30 hours) for Physics and Chemistry in offline or pen & paper based mode. Candidates will be able to download the admit card of MHT CET 2018 from April 24, 2018. Candidates are required to enter their Aadhaar Card details while filling the application form of MHT CET 2018. So candidates who do not have Aadhaar card must bear this point in mind and get their Aadhaar Cards made. Every year, over 4 lakh candidates appear in the state level engineering entrance test for admission to B.Tech programmes across the participating institutes. MHT CET has been re-introduced in the year 2016, as before that (in 2014 and 2015), the state level engineering colleges would offer admission to candidates based on JEE Main score.
Coming to the eligibility criteria for general/sc/st/obc category :
General category candidates must have scored minimum 50% aggregate marks in class 12 th or equivalent exam from a recognised board/ University with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, while reserve category (SC/ST/OBC) candidates need to have scored 45% and above in class 12 th .
Some important introduction to MHT CET 2018
--20% weightage in the MHT CET 2018 examination will be given to 11th standard syllabus while the remaining 80% weightage will be given to 12th standard syllabus.
--The difficulty level of MHT CET 2018 will be raised and be almost equal to JEE Main in terms of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and NEET for Biology.
--The approximate number of questions based on 11th standard will be 10 and from 12th standard will be 40. The questions will be application based.
--Questions will not be asked from the chapter on complex numbers of Class XI in MHT CET 2018
--The application form of MHT CET 2018 has been released earlier this year. In the previous year, the application form was made available in the second week of February.
