how much marks should I score out of 400 in jee paper 2, to get a good percentile and admission in a nit?

The JEE main paper 2 is considered easy as compared to JEE main paper 1. IF you have prepared well for board level examination, then you will surely clear JEE main paper 2. The cutoff is same as paper so with good preparation, you can clear the paper 2 examination.

JEE Main paper 2 is easy compared to paper1. The reasoning part is very easy among all three parts any 10th class student can solve those problems. You don't need to invest a single minute for that.

If you are also appearing in Paper1 then you don't need to prepare for Paper 2 Mathematics because it is far easy compared to paper1. Else you can take help of NCERT and RD Sharma for Mathematics. If you are good at mathematics then you can score very well in Mathematics part.

Drawing part depends upon Your drawing skill even they give 50% marks to those who don't know anything of it. So Paper 2 is not a big deal in JEE Main and competition is very low compared to paper 1, If you are good at Mathematics you will be easily under AIR 1000
