how to know your interest in different branches of engineering
Dear aspirant,
There are a lot of branches of engineering.
A few common ones are:
1. Computer and IT - Deals with software, coding and the back end of technology related things.
2. Electrical and electronics - True to its name deals with the workings of electricity and other electronic gadgets.
3. Civil - Deals with the how to's of constructions
4. Mechanical - Deals with the study and design of tools.
5. Biotechnology - Deals with engineering bacteria and other organisms for various purposes.
These are the basics of the engineering branches and I have put it across very simply. If you want to find your passion, you will get an option to do so in the first year where you'll get exposed to all branches. Try and give your best in all first year courses so you can evaluate yourself accurately.
Ensure that the college you join offers an option to change branches. Get admission into the most preferred branch (usually CSE) and then you can easily shift branches in the second year if you find something else interesting
