As you told in question, you are in second year so take part in extra curricular activities so that your CV seems to be good enough for IIM'S. Just develop good reading habit from now. That will help in VA section. Keep aware of your own exams also because graduation marks also matter in IIM'S.

There are three sections in CAT exam. Quantitative Aptitude, Data interpretation and logical reasoning, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension. I would suggest to read the CAT Books by Arun Sharma . They are very clear and well explained. For English, Word Power Made Easy By Norman Lewis is good to improve your Vocabulary.
