- Concentrate on numerical problems. From the first day, start solving numerical questions. There is an abundance of these in all three subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Set a number between 50 and 80 and do them on a daily basis.
- Manage your time.Monitor the time you spend on questions to ensure that your performance is not hampered because of time constraints. You should finish the examination in the provided time period.
- Talk with other aspirants. You will frequently use concepts and formulas to solve problems. Interact with other candidates to know their preparation techniques. This will help you in two ways. Firstly, you will be able to identify your or their mistakes and secondly, you will know where you are lacking.
- Solve previous year papers. This is an old school preparation tip. Complete your syllabus and then start solving previous year papers. Keep an eye on papers of last 10 to 15 years. Notice pattern changes carefully so that you know what to expect.
- Meet daily targets. You need to score better than other candidates. This means that you have tough competition. There will be students solving around 100-125 questions per day. Make sure you are at their level. At the end of each day, take some time out to plan for the next day. This way you do not waste time when you finally begin studying.
- Develop clear line of thoughts.Your thought process should be clear. Each time you see a question, you must know which formula or concept to apply.
- Stay focused.A lot of students quit mid way thinking that they will not be able to clear the examination. Dont ever do that. You always have the option of preparing more and attempting for it next year but why do that.
- Move from difficult to easy.Cover the difficult portions of the syllabus to begin with. Move on to the easier ones as the exam nears. Keep revising notes for the difficult parts till the end.
- Have a subject-wise strategy. The JEE focuses on three subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Depending on your interest in any of these subjects, allot more time on tougher topics, chapters and subjects.
- Updates and changes. The syllabus of Board Exams and JEE Main and JEE Advanced is pretty common. Understand previous year question papers to get an idea about parts of syllabus that are more important compared to the ones that can be ignored.
Today, I will tell you how to prepare for JEE Mains in this final month. I know, this may sound too good to be true, but you can easily(well, dont kill me for that)crack JEE Main in 30 days. You might be wondering this is nuts, no one can do it. No one can cover a pile of syllabus just in one month. But I would say,Yes, you can do it(of course, with some pre-preparation on your part..hey, I am not a magician!).
Lets take a look at some preparation tips on how to prepare for JEE Main 2017 in last 1 month.
Concrete Strategy For The Three Subjects
Along with a study plan, you should also follow different strategies for different subjects.
Let's start withphysics.
How to score in Physics: Once you know the concept, voila! youve solved the problem. Visualization is the key factor in this subject. If you are going through a topic, note down all important formulae, results and shortcut tricks. These small notes will be very useful for you a day before the JEE Main. Practice a good number of questions as per the availability of the time.Dont try to attempt long or complicated questions in the last month and do not waste more than the required time on a particular topic.
And now move toChemistry.
How to score in Chemistry:You must go through NCERT books as they cover almost the entire syllabus.Solving the exercises at the end of the chapters will help you in understanding the chapters completely. Along with NCERT, you can refer 1 or 2 standard books and avoid a heap of books as the time is very less. I would also strongly recommend that you solve past years papers of JEE. Take a look at the must-read NCERT bookshere.
And, Final isMaths.
How to score in Mathematics: Mathematics can be assigned a lesser time than physics and chemistry as a major portion of maths is covered during the preparation of board. But this subject must not be ignored. Here the trick is to practice more and more important topics. In the beginning, some questions may sound alien, but as you keep on practicing, you will start having a command on the subject.
Well jee mains is not tough and does not ask for deep understanding. So you have to practice as many questions as possible, this will help you in concepts understanding and your speed to solve them. Questions you can solve from previous year jee mains questions papers or mock test or test series.
Also find your weak points when you solve those questions, and revise them theoretically.
Good luck
